ASSASSINATIONS

Edward Kennedy, the brother of former USA President John Fitzgerald Kennedy who was assassinated on the 22nd November 1963 in Dallas, Texas died and was buried a few days ago. There are quite a number of reasons why this issue deserves attention. One of them is for us to understand the global power dynamics which are glossed over in the mainstream media. The second reason is that those who plotted the assassinations of Patrice Lumumba, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King are the ones who plotted the assassination of JFK. Last but not least, it is my wish that young Africanists should investigate the assassination of Japhta Kgalabi Masemola.

An assassination has motive and those who carry it out almost invariably have the capacity to carry it out without being detected and where there is a possibility of being found out, they are able to cover their dirty tracks because they control key organs of state. That is why the SA President Jacob Zuma’s appointments in key areas in government must disturb right thinking citizens of this country.

Let’s revert to JFK’s assassination. He was assassinated during the height of the Vietnam War. He had discovered that the CIA had lied to him about many things including The Bay of Pigs (a botched covert operation to infiltrate US soldiers into Cuba around 1962). He also discovered that he was not in control but that other forces were and wanted to usurp exercise of his authority as elected President of the United States of America. There was a time when he said he was not an errand boy of the Pentagon. He also removed the Attorney General of the time and replaced him with his brother Robert who was also assassinated about three years after the assassination of JFK. JFK also planned to shake up the CIA and put an end to the Vietnam War and a memo to that effect was already circulated.

Three days after his assassination, his decision to put an end to the Vietnam War was rescinded. The day JFK was assassinated all the federal telephone lines were not working for hours on end. It was reported that he spent very long hours during postmortem and that bullet wounds were altered to suit the doctored autopsy report. His brain was blown out of his skull into his wife’s hands but was confiscated and was never part of the autopsy report. Eye witnesses began dying one by one until many became reluctant to come forward.

The official version was that JFK was killed by a single bullet fired by Lee Harvey Oswald but eye witnesses said many shots were fired. Those who have been researching the Kennedy assassination believe Oswald was a patsy. The powerful US ruling families set up a commission chaired by a reluctant Chief Justice, Judge Earl Warren. As expected the Warren Commission was a charade. There were many objections concerning its findings. Kennedy was overthrown in a bloody coup de tat but we are told there are no coups de tats in the US. Those who killed him control the world, they are very powerful.
