The Pan Africanist Students Movement of Azania (PASMA) would like to condemn as barbaric, all immoral acts by TUT Soshanguve Campus, particularly the eviction of students and use of criminals pretending to be “bouncers”. Our National Organizer Thabani “Smol” Zondo is the latest victim of the thuggerish attacks on students and is now hospitalized as a result.
Students are still scattered all over Soshanguve without food, clothes or shelter because they left all their belongings on campus during the illegal eviction last week. We have been informed that vandalism and looting is taking place at the vacated residences.
The campus must be reopened immediately; the right to engage in political activity must be restored; the local SRC must reinstated; the management must respond positively to all our demands without delay; and the management sponsored criminals that are harassing students on campus must leave the campus.
We call upon the nation to intervene because the pseudo “communist” Minister of Higher Education, Blade Nzimande, is not willing to do so. We vow to continue fighting until all our demands are met!
